Professional Floor Levelling & Subfloor Preparation

Achieving SR1 Precision for Luxury LVT, Laminate, paint and Resin Finishes

Floor levelling

Why the Level Matters

A premium floor covering is only as good as the surface beneath it. We specialize in achieving SR1 and SR2 surface regularity, ensuring a glass-flat finish that prevents joint failure in LVT and 'hollow' spots in laminate.

The Technical Standard (The "SR" Difference)

  • SR1 Finish: The highest standard (maximum 3mm deviation over a 2m straight edge). Essential for thin-gauge LVT and high-end resin.

  • SR2 Finish: High-quality domestic standard (5mm deviation).

  • Our Process: We use tested straight edges and gauge rakes to ensure absolute accuracy across the entire span of the room.

The 4-Step Levelling System

  1. Subfloor Analysis: We begin with digital moisture testing and a structural integrity check of the base concrete or timber.

  2. Mechanical Keying: Industrial diamond grinding to remove surface contaminants and open concrete pores for maximum bond strength.

  3. Priming & DPM: Application of a specialist Epoxy Damp Proof Membrane (DPM) to prevent moisture-related screed failure if required. Applying suitable Priming agents to promote adhesion.

  4. Smoothing Compound: Professional application of smoothing compounds, spike-rolled to remove air bubbles and achieve a flawless surface.
